OK, here’s the ego bit. One odd things about being published, is that you’re suddenly encouraged to think of yourself as a ‘brand’ – and it’s true, my books are sitting there on the shelves as a product, with their own Unique Selling Points (bittersweet is a word used a lot… it’s definitely how I like my chocolate, but my novels?).
